Keif Tan (13)

The compound that I have chosen is Nitrogen Dioxide. It's constituent elements are nitrogen and oxygen. It consists of 1 nitrogen atom and 2 oxygen atoms. These two elements are bonded by covalent bonding, since both are non-metals. Nitrogen and oxygen are both harmless. Nitrogen can used for many purposes like cooling things down, and it is put in fertilizers too. Oxygen is even more useful as it is what humans need to survive. However, Nitrogen oxide is harmful as it contributed to global warming. It is produced by lightning and car exhaust, where there is a lot of heat.
