One of the harmful compound is Ammonia.
Its constituent elements are Hydrogen and Nitrogen. They form Ammonia (NH3). These two elements are bonded together by covalent bonding. This compound consists of 1 atom of Nitrogen and 3 atoms of Hydrogen. Nitrogen has 5 electrons, while hydrogen has 1 electron each. When they come together, the nitrogen atom would provide the hydrogen atoms with a full valence shell to form a stable structure, while the 3 hydrogen atoms would provide the ammonia with the 3 needed electrons to form a stable structure (Nitrogen would have 8 valence electrons, hydrogen would have 2 valence electrons).
What is Ammonia commonly found in/used for - Most popularly, in consumer and commercial products to clean grime or fertilise crops.
Harmful effects of Ammonia - Even in low concentrations, inhaling ammonia or getting the solution on your skin could cause burning, fainting or death.
The atomic structure is shown below.
